Droylsden v Leyton Orient
« on: November 29, 2010, 07:35:07 PM »

There are still 15 minutes to Kick Off but already we have had:-

-Pacey talking to his dog
-Clarke Carlisle using the word 'serendipity'
-A feature on Bloods' dangerman Jody Banim....which featured someone else!

I'm looking forward to this one......should be an interesting game!

How have they got it on?  Did they have heated covers?

I have found my own answer in that there were heated covers on all night and today

AFCW had special covers before Saturday's match but I understand ITV provided them. Wouldn't be surprised if the same applies.

They also used hot air dryers & ESPN showed the guy who runs the firm that supplied the equipment ( a former cricketer apparently).

My guess is that Droylsden made a decision to invest in these & it paid off as it may have cost them £5-10,000, but the opportunity cost was £70,000 as they would have lost the TV money.

In our case, we'd need to have a potential attendance worth making the saving for BEFORE investing in the covers !
