Altrincham FC First Team / Vote results
« on: May 08, 2011, 07:54:02 PM »
237 votes were recieved for new shirts for next season, 182 were in favour of red/white home shirt, and 155 in favour of red/black shirt. For the away, voting was considerably in favour of the yellow option, 196 for yellow, 41 for white. With the considerable interest in the red/black shirt, the club are considering using it as a Centenary Special Edition to be used in the FA Cup and FA Trophy next season. Watch this space!!

Altrincham FC First Team / Character Assasination of Doots
« on: May 01, 2011, 11:11:45 AM »
Some very harsh comments being made on this Forum about Doots. He would admit himself he has not covered himself in glory, but anyone who went to Grimsby would have seen what a compitent GK he can be. From personal experience, it can be very difficult to fill in for a club legend such as Stuart, I had a similar issue at Southport many years ago when I stood in for Paul Evans. Doots hurt as much as anyone at the final whistle and was proud to get the opportunity to play at Alty. Our relegation was confirmed over 46 games unfortunately, not 1 result yesterday. Just a thought!!

Altrincham FC First Team / GUTTED!!
« on: April 30, 2011, 10:49:44 PM »
Just got home from downing my sorrow's with copius amounts of Peroni. Much to the amazement of some spectators who believe some of the squad were mercenaries and did'nt care, I can say that after the game, silence and a few tears were shed in the dressing room. The truth is that this squad should have stayed up, and they know it. If you look at today's game, when else would 2 Eastbourne lads strike 2 goals like those in the 1st half, they would have beaten any GK in the world. Other than that, the game would have been ours and we would have managed The Great Escape. The support was amazing, and appreciated by all concerned. Hopefully Ken can be convinced that he is the man to take the club forward. Time will tell. From the Staff and Squad, thanks for your support throughout the season. We can return, BELIEVE!!

Altrincham FC First Team / Disgrace!!
« on: April 28, 2011, 08:17:23 AM »
As a supplier to Alty, I am only glad I am not fulfilling the same role at the likes of Rushden, Wrexham and Kidderminster to name 3. Would have gone bust long ago. How long are these clubs going to get away with cheating? There seems to be very little sympathy for the small businesses who fall foul of these clubs with dreams way above their financial capabilities. Surely some form of "capping" based on income has to be put in place to protect the integrity of the League.

Altrincham FC First Team / Thanks, the support today was magnificent!!
« on: April 25, 2011, 08:07:42 PM »
From all the players and management staff, the support was truly appreciated. Thanks, Bring on Eastbourne, and with a bit of luck, The Great Escape can be achieved.

Altrincham FC First Team / Voting Forms for new kit.
« on: April 14, 2011, 03:38:13 PM »
Based on my options given to the club, a voting form is now available at the club. I do apologise if the options are limited in some supporters eyes, but to cover my outlay in support of the club, I can only offer those shirts I carry in enough volume to supply as and when ordered, with as quick a turnround as possible, hence no Pink option Jenga. All I will say, is that whichever shirt/shirts are selected, I will endeavour to maintain my current service in terms of meeting orders within 7 days, something I doubt any other supplier can match. And to fiinish, hopefully I'll be needing to supply kit for the Blue Square Premier next season.

Altrincham FC First Team / Kit vote
« on: April 11, 2011, 08:04:13 AM »
Going to try and formulate a voting form with better images of these shirts to guage fans opinions on home and away shirts for next season. Along with new red/white striped shirt already viewed and current white away shirt, these are my options from SKkits, based on agreed deal with club for kit supply, etc. for next season.
