We have reached 23 games played with 28 points on the board. 

Looking back, I find the following after 23 games:

2010 - 11 18 points (finished 21st)
2009 - 10 29 points (finished 14th)
2008 - 09 29 points (finished 15th)
2007 - 08 17 points (finished 21st)
2006 - 07 25 points (finished 21st)
2005 - 06 23 points (finished 18th) (before points deduction)
1999-2000 29 points (finished 21st)
1996-97  28 points (finished 22nd)

So we are better off than in any of our relegation seasons with the exception of the bizarre season that was 1999-00 and our first relegation in 1996.

From this point to the end of the season in 96-7 we only picked up 11 more points!  And it all began to fall apart with a game on 30th Nov 96 (18 years and 1 day ago) with a 7-1 defeat at Woking!

Also, in the 96-97 and 99/00 seasons, I'm sure we only played 42 games, which means the comparison is not fully accurate.

The important thing is, we're in a good position to really kick on and cement our league status in the second half of the season. Who would have thought we'd have double Telford's points tally by this stage of the season?
