It was a brilliant atmosphere for the whole game pretty much, and I saw no real trouble at all. The closest thing to confrontation I had was repeatedly being called a "dirty cheater" by several Boston fans who looked at least 35 years older than me when coming out of the ground, to which I couldn't hold in my laughter.

Buzz was booed by the pig farmers on the pop side for the whole of the match after the first dismissal. I really don't know how he kept a straight face.

Think I was the only Alty fan in the bar after the game - all the plapyers came in and some got quite a bit of stick from the locals for cheating - Matt Doughty gave some good stuff back to get to the bar for a drink - "did you not see the punch then" was his way in. Great result - they want a good tie in the next round and deserve it after that - played really well and got the feeling the players like playing this way - great performance.

Numerous Boston fans approached me after the game and were accusing us as being cheaters too!

Where this came from i have no idea, isn't fouling cheating? They got two sent off!

They also said we should have beat them by a bigger margin, to that i say i honestly don't give a sh*t, we won and we have the chance of a nice draw in the 1st round.

i think it was more a case of emotions running high than feeling against the away fans. I was quite annoyed on saturday but that was more with our own players stupidity. The left back was being jeered because he and the bench were seen giving out high fives after the first sending off. They were both clear red cards to be honest and im in no way disputing that. It was a good atmosphere all game and i had no hard feelings against your fans who were just enjoying the result as we would have if the shoe had been on the other foot. Enjoy your day at burton.

great response mr pilgrim . sorry if you feel caught up in out in house dislike for your club but we will never forget the debacle of the 1985 semi final. paul cheat casey and as for theleague cup final of 73 !!!! we never got over that Jim kabia is not welcome in alty lets leave it at that
