Time for some perspective
« on: March 10, 2010, 08:53:41 AM »

After calming down after what we witnessed last night, and after reading posts on here and the wrexham forum about the disgust and shame a lot of people feel about last nights antics,i think we need to condem the idiots jointly with the majority of decent right minded wrexham fans and try and educate the idiots.weve enjoyed a decent friendly relationship with the wrexham fans since they arrived and hope that can continue and isnt soured by a number of idiots.hopefully someone can post this on their forum

Agreed.

It has been condemned by all the posters on their forum as well.

Spot on Hughesy. Wrexham have a good base of decent fans who love football - those on the visitors end in last season's League fixture were a pleasure to have in our ground.

Unfortunately, the bigger the fanbase, the more chance of a significant number of mindless idiots who will tarnish the club's reputation, as happened last night. It would be wonderful to think that decent fans would sort this out within the club - but it would also be naive. A club can ban fans for violence, racism, and certain other matters covered by the law, but chanting like last night's isn't per se an offence (though it's certainly offensive).

When Wrexham visit Moss Lane next season, it's vital that we don't get dragged down to the level of their moronic element, and that their large number of decent fans are made welcome !
