Men against boys at times, more of the same Saturday and NYD, we can win this league, its so average, as today's scores again suggest, come on Alty

Great performance today. Thought the 2 new defenders looked solid, the midfield was good and Reeves and Perry worked well together. Doesn't mean much against that opposition though ;D

Thought Perry did well today , must be said probly the worst defence we've come across for awhile , hopefully we can get a win at Barrow and at  staleybridge on new years day .

Where do you start.

A truly appalling Bridge display summed up by the keeper. Not only was he dreadful but insisted on taking the girl kicks from the middle of the 6 yard thus ensuring he ran through the muddiest part of the pitch.

Impressed with Griffin and Marshall.

Fully expect to win on Saturday and Wednesday but beating Bridge and Barrow doesn't mean we will top the league  come the end

My first game for a few months but as others have said difficult to assess accurately as Staylbridge were absolutely appalling.

To be fair though going into the game we were 6th and they were 13th and this is as comprehensive a demolition job that you could wish for.

I thought the new centre back did a good job and has real presence about him. Also liked our bench, rare for us in recent times to have such strength in depth.

Obviously we declared at 5-0 but overall that is a great Christmas present from Lee and the lads so well played all. Please keep it going on Saturday now lads.

I doubt ADT will make it on New Year's Day.....would YOU cross the road to watch probably the poorest Stalybridge side that I can remember seeing ?  :D

But take nothing away from the lads. It was a great all-round team performance, and I thought Jake Moult was the pick of the bunch today. Always nice when five different players get on the scoresheet too.

The only downside was Nicky's booking, which puts him out of the home game with Telford.

They were poor but we killed them off well, nice to see some passing come back into our play.

Thought Perry did well with his build up play and goal, least said about his second half the better though.

Griffin did well and that Marshall is a beast.

Biggest plus for me was the fact that we actually looked dangerous from corners with Marshall and Havern in there, that could be a side to our game we haven't had for a long time.

Don't think Barrow will be easy but the target remains the same, now 3 wins from the next 3, which could very well put us top of the pile.

Jake Moults best game for many a month as well.

despite numerous missed opportunities the other top sides have also slipped up and so we remain 4 points off top spot with a game in hand.

c'mon lads it is there for the taking!!! a consistent run now over the next half dozen games with a settled starting XI and it is there for us...one side will put a run together now...let's make it us, we have the players...look to the top, get there and stay there......we are not at home to mr slip up anymore.......let's make it our new years resolution!

take the opportuinity ffs!!!

while everyone was enjoying their traditional boxing day thriller at moss lane I was working sadly.

After that result the Staly No8 has decided to rename himself as "The footballer formerly known as Prince Heyward!"
