I thought Grantham away in the FA cup in the late 60's was a bit on the cold side.

After being diverted all over the place because of road closures due to a foot and mouth outbreak and taking forever to get there (the coach going at 45 degrees down the main road in Stockport due to the snowy/icy conditions) it was so cold at the ground that my kneecaps were shivering up and down (I know that sounds ridiculous but it happened, OK?)
I had to watch the first part of the match standing at a slight crouch so that this couldn't happen until several bovrils (and a goal from, I think, the late great Bert Lister) had warmed me up.

I really must get out more and stop reminiscing!  :D

My votes for cold would go to Cammell Laird 3-2 defeat and FA Cup round 4 v York - in the latter  match I was questioned by police as to whether I was on drugs as I was only wearing a tee-shirt (and trousers of course).
the york game was the coldest i have ever been anywhere ever. some alty fans later formed a band called 'the freezing idiots' named after that day

I remember the 2nd round tie at York being cold, it was one of the only games played that day due to freezing weather. That was a few years earlier than the 4th round game.

They certainly weren't. Remember that day well, got hit by a mini near the airport and had to drive down Stamford New Rd mid afternoon with my front bumper hanging off and side bashed in. Thought it couldnt get any worse when they scored... nver mind we know what happened next.

You'll remember me ringing the old ARP bell then when we scored (and at every other opportunity!)
