Better GD, and also a game in hand.

The Harrogate postponement won't have done us any harm either.

We'd have lost that last season.  They were well up for it but we clinically despatched them.

Very very pleased with that hard fought win.

Well done the lads.

Gold top to match our performance.

Thought Shaun deserved his MOM, but what a solid show from Carl Rodgers.

It is pleasing to see the Densmore of 2 or 3 years ago again. Keeper I thought was slow to react to the free kick, but it was so perfect I doubt he would had got it anyway.

Duncan very unlucky not to score, the run he made when the keeper saved with his legs was an absolute joy to watch.

Not often we do 'regulation' 2-0 wins, a few more of them between now and April 27th would be very nice :)

Good game to watch, sorry but it was only my first of the season, they weren't that bad. I thought Duncan did well, works really hard, Rodgers did well second half but I thought the class act on the pitch was young Scott Leather. He was brilliant today and I'm surprised it not been mentioned on here. We will do well to keep him if he plays like that week in week out. I wouldn't know, if i'm honest, but i still thought he had a great game. Good to see some old faces again, will try and come back before the end of the season.

Disappointing to lose in the manner that we did, at times we more than matched you. The timing of the goals killed us. I'd like to see the video of the foul for the first because it just seemed like a coming together of two players off the ball.

The ref gave you a couple of friendly decisions too. A handball against Adam Mann when it brushed past him, but two against your defenders in the area and he didn't want to know. Plus when Reeves went down injured we were a third of the way into your half on the attack when he stopped play, no head injury but he penalised us.

Shame we had nothing on the bench, we looked flat in the second half and needed a boost.

It's great to see consistency and defensive steel is now being married to our undoubted attacking flair.

Delighted as well that our home performances are beginning to shape up now, as the results were disappointing at Moss Lane before Christmas. That's four wins on the trot at home.

Looking ahead our next batch of fixtures are against a number of the stragglers, be great to really drive on and cement our precarious hold on a play off spot.

Considering the number of Alty players not fully fit or injured, that was a very solid, if unspectacular performance against a decent Glaaaster side who shouldnt be down in 17/18th. If Duncan had scored one of the two one on ones he had then 3-0 would have been a fairer reflection based on chances created. Apart from two chances first half Glaaaster lacked any real cutting edge at all, but if they had taken one it would have been interesting.

We just badly need a couple more good players now for the run-in. Squad is too thin with only really Youth lads to come on.

I was well impressed by carol Rodgers today.
Why did he change his orange boots at half time?
It was a good day for us as teams above us dropped points.

Beat droylesden on Tuesday night, Corby on. Saturday.
6 point banker.

Well done then to Lee for seeing this potential and getting him on a contract.

We are starting to get quality all over the pitch now and look like a very good side. Some very good performances yesterday but I thought Sean played like a man possessed, incredible performance. When James Lawries' toe finally heals it will give us even more options.

Never got near the dizzy heights of Tuesday night but still won 2-0. Some great performances Leather, Havern and my MOM Densmore to name but three.

Concidering Gloucester haven't played for a month I thought they did well and on another day would have scored at least one.

A year ago that would would have been a game we'd have drawn or lost.

Even with niggling injuries we've got to several players I am actually looking for forward to going to Droylesden.

Up to 4th which is our highest position sinxe coming in this league - with the game in hand on Gains/Brackley/Worxester/Stalybridge

It was never going to be like tuesday... all we needed was a solid win

Gloucester havent lost in 4 (includinh to wins over worxester) and obviousy were just happy to play

Those goals were superbly timed.. usually we"re the team to conceed 2 in 2 minutes just before half time

Gutted to be missing Alty as Im away with uni.. hopefully tune in to RR
