Chester almost certain of a reprieve after Hereford miss 5pm deadline to pay football creditors.

Chester fans probably wont celebrate staying up as in their eyes the death of a club is so horrible.

eeek - I missed that Hereford news.

Chester should take their possible reprieve with a smile of relief and a shrug of the shoulders. It's not their fault that Hereford missed a deadline.

Nice payday for Alty when/if Chester come to Moss Lane too.

Macc fans reckon a takeover has been completed before the deadline.  Not confirmed as yet.

In a pessimistic way its a shame could have done with them struggling on for another year then going bust.  Good local derby though although more competition for players

Article on BBC website makes grim reading for Bulls fans.  I can't see how they can escape from here.  It's been confirmed they have missed the deadline and the conference has a very strong track record of sticking to their financial rules - and rightly so.

Really???
How many deadlines were Crawley given by the Conference, including points deductions on several occasions and look where they are now having never paid their debts?

Hereford get an extension...until 10:00 tomorrow to pay all footy related debts.

As a tax payer I claim the right to have the hump here, PAYE is not required to be paid, to retain their prem status.

Any debts to HMRC at season's end should results in instant relegation. Only then will football club owners stop taking  the whatsit.
