Good result, Poole is a class above. Still shaky at the back, we need a new keeper and an natural striker if we get these we should be up there.

What did Thompson do wrong tonight?
Not much but he had comparatively little to do if we're honest.

We will pay for not pushing home our advantage when we're in control. Should have been 3 up by the hour mark, and ended up hanging on. How did Whitby put 5 past Stalybridge ?

Looking at tonight's results in this league I have to conclude from the inconsistencies that all 24 teams are dogsh*t. Coalville's win at Grantham is a prime example. The two teams we lost to are top and 4th.

What price Steve Burr gets the chop during September ?

Just about deserve the lead.

Can somebody please find the appalling record that sounds like a cat being strangled, and destroy it. It was agony to listen to last season and the summer break hasn't enhanced it.

Doesn't look good. Apparently a neck injury and the player isn't being moved. Could be an abandonment if he can't be taken off.

Long delay for injury to Abbey Hey player. It'll be a late finish here.

About 7 minutes of the 90 left. Maine Road equalise with an absolute screamer.

Any reports on Matt Cook who is playing for Abbey Hey?
Sorry, didn't hear the teams. Freakes is the only one I know out there.

Extra time?
Indeed. Maine Road threatened more after they'd equalised, but Abbey Hey still look capable of nicking one on the break. Extra time will start in a couple of minutes. Anybody's game.

Abbey Hey defending in numbers now, sometimes desperate but effective. Maine Road not playing so well now. Build up good but final ball sometimes lacking. Abbey Hey dangerous on the break. This is a decent cup tie.

Abbey Hey go ahead with a penalty from former Alty trialist Sam Freakes.
