Title: No strikers for Boxing Day....
Post by: Macsporran on December 24, 2016, 04:39:56 PM
...according to the interview with the manager in 'Altrincham Today'.

1. Apparently Hobson has been playing with a double fracture of the foot for the last couple of months. Now they have found it, he is out for around 6-7 weeks.
2. Sean Miller is out for 2-3 weeks with a damaged toe.
3. Reevesy is struggling with a hamstring, rated doubtful for Boxing Day.

No better news on bringing replacements in either...no luck with 2 or 3 possibles that he has tried to sign.

Only good news is that Tom Hannigan will be fit, however Simon Richman is also very doubtful.

Can't say this bodes well for the game, particularly as this is generally agreed to be be a must win fixture.

"He's gone away for Christmas and New Year" Who is it? Carlos Tevez!! On a serious note I can't believe players have agents at this level,it's one step up from Sunday League!!

We'll miss Miller. The others, I doubt we'll notice.

change the physio for god sake, he has been a liabilty for years. How many more mis diagnosis do we have to have, how many more players need to be run into the ground and their careers ruined or finished? It's disgraceful

Tell me we can get a loan signing in? I don't believe for a minute that not a single club in the north west has a striker to spare for a month???

I'm not. Done me back in and I'm carrying a fair bit of lard. My left knee is buggered and I don't get on with other people.

If they've just signed Adam Morgan Halifax may well have one to spare now. Denton or Simmons would be ambitious, but possibly Peniket or Kosylo?

Sam Heathcote started out as a striker.....might be worth trying on a "better than nowt" basis.

Lawrie or wilko will play up top, let's be honest they can't be worse than Reeves, Hobson or Marsh have been this year!

It will probably be Wilkinson behind Lawrie.

Don't be to harsh on Reeves when no supply from the wings and midfield he will be sh*t
He is a finisher when in the box but he has stuck with this sinking ship scratching his head
