Title: Was it a "PCR" positive test result that knocked us out of the Trophy?
Post by: Hugh on January 22, 2021, 01:25:43 AM
I ask because, as I understand, the WHO has updated its PCR guidance, and now recommends a second test to confirm a PCR positive test result. I trust that the authorities and the National League will make any necessary changes to their protocols and practices to reflect this guidance.

(And yes, "London" Alty, this is relevant to Altrincham fc first team. Isn't it. I'll leave any side tracking to others - for now..)

PS Best wishes to the player concerned, I hope he is "recovering" well.

I've looked online and can't see any news about this. Perhaps you could provide a source.

And of course any he may have inadvertently passed it to.

I think given that tests are not mandatory in the league that its likely a player or staff member had symptoms and then went for a normal swab test
