Title: Notts County Match Thread
Post by: robininstockport on September 28, 2022, 12:26:50 PM
Same starting 11. Would rather have Conn-Clarke in the 10 and and Colclough out wide but a bit of interchange wont harm anyone.

Snatch your hand off for a draw but thats a massive ask.

Good luck to all who play and travel

No idea who is fit.

If fit and available Hulme and Kaja come in. Apart from that, same line-up.

Can only see defeat,  by two or more goals.

Another big game, hoping for a positibe performance to see us through untill reinforcements arrive. Got to stay with the pack above us

I suppose PP sees this as a bit of a free hit. We are expected to lose comfortably and probably will.
You would hope that a few departures and arrivals would follow.

I think it's the performance that's the most important thing here.
I actually fancy us to snatch a point 🤞

I think the Notts county is a no pointer for us, however, we then have Gateshead, Dorking & Wealdstone where we can certainly pick up points.

Just bought an away ticket from their website. Took ages to process anything. I'd not bother doing that again. That was a truly nasty process just to get a ticket.

Beer time.

Yes, did not find it easy buying a ticket.......needed my blood group and inside leg measurement... ;D

Likewise, it was a very painful process, even though I already had an account from last season.

I am heading there expecting nothing apart from full effort and not to be thrashed; any sort of positive result will be a bonus.

Picturing stewards outside the ground checking inside leg measurements.

Double drat.

I wonder where we'd be if we had Langstaff?

Can he score enough goals to make up for the humungous number we concede?

Sounded like small margins (and Langstaff). And as Kosylo noted, we still have Marriot and Baines to come back yet!

Having watched the Alty Shorts, Parky and Co must be frustrated like us. We created plenty and as the Notts County manager said, the result could have been different if we took our chances. What might have been. We played well by the looks of it, but we need to start scoring soon, but also defend for the whole game not 99% of it. If the current squad can't do this, then change of personnel is needed sooner rather than later or we'll end up getting relegated.

Having watched the highlights we had more than enough chances to get something out of the game.

When the second went in we were always going to lose. I went and there was not two goals in that display for Alty. Bits and pieces but nothing to suggest we'd score two. Three one was just about right over 90 minutes. Notts had more to give, they played out that last 20 minutes quite happily.

When the 1st went in, we were crying for an old head to settle us down and get us to HT.
