Why would you want McFadden on?

He has yet to score a goal for us!

Don't know, but would have thought GH would leave him on if it was minor....unless he wanted to make sure he didn't make it worse with an eye on next week....

Poor, not one single shot on target all game tells it's own tale. The fact that Histon only had one shot on target is no consolation at all as it simply means they were there for the taking.

Ahh well, onto Millwall and the welcome distraction of the cup. Let's think positively. An upset is always possible and if we were to get something out of the game, it may well be the spur we need to get our season going. Come on Alty......I'll be flying in on a wing and a prayer.

Bbc match report

Histon 1-0 Altrincham
Histon maintained their good start to life in the Blue Square Premier with a victory over struggling Altrincham
The home side started brightly when Erkan Okay's 25-yard strike fizzed past the left-hand post.

And they took the lead on 22 minutes when Daniel Wright curled the ball into the top corner from 25 yards.

Chances were scarce for Alty, with Carlos Logan missing their best opening when he shot past the left post from 12 yards with 15 minutes to go.

So what happens now?

Should we accept that there is no realistic chance of bringing in better players and hope for the best? There must be something that can be done to try and stop the rot? Our current injury situation is not helping and we were clearly down to the bare bones today. Clearly something needs to be done - will Graham be able to improve the squad in January?

For our part we must stay 100% behind the team but I hope something changes our fortunes for the better and quickly.

just shows how poor those feeds are
in reality that could have been 5 or 6 to histon today
alty were clueless in all departments. honourable mention to coburn who made a magnificent double save and dealt with everything besides the goal which was unstoppable
worst display was the referee. histon goalkeeper nearly killed senior and the ref either missed it or ignored it
in my opinion there was no way it wasnt deliberate and he should have gone off

I'd agree with most of that. Injurys didnt help, but anyway, onwards and upwards.

As for the referee he was appaling. After the match he told Heathecote that Senior ran into his knee.
It didnt look like that and from seniors reaction you wouldnt have thought someone would want to do that to themself. >:(

The only way we can avoid religation is to genereate enough money out the FA cup to either loan/buy some players before it's to late.

So, the best thing that could happen is either beat Millwall and get a massive game ie Leeds Forest away or draw with Millwall and get the replay, take the money and start recruiting.

The negative part of the plan is I'm wanting players to either win or draw a game that will lead to their own exit.
