Altrincham FC First Team / Joint statement tonight
« on: April 04, 2017, 11:07:29 PM »
Can I just clarify point 5 in the joint statement please with anyone who attended the meeting from the Supporters Group.

The point states that GR will remain Chairman of the Club until the process in connection with the potential new investments Is seen through to a conclusion.

Was it agreed that GR will step down as Chairman once these negotiations are completed, regardless of the outcome? The wording of this point seems to infer that he will only remain as Chairman until such times as the process is completed,

For myself, and I'm sure many others, this is a point that needs clarification.

Altrincham FC First Team / No strikers for Boxing Day....
« on: December 24, 2016, 04:39:56 PM »
...according to the interview with the manager in 'Altrincham Today'.

1. Apparently Hobson has been playing with a double fracture of the foot for the last couple of months. Now they have found it, he is out for around 6-7 weeks.
2. Sean Miller is out for 2-3 weeks with a damaged toe.
3. Reevesy is struggling with a hamstring, rated doubtful for Boxing Day.

No better news on bringing replacements in either...no luck with 2 or 3 possibles that he has tried to sign.

Only good news is that Tom Hannigan will be fit, however Simon Richman is also very doubtful.

Can't say this bodes well for the game, particularly as this is generally agreed to be be a must win fixture.

Altrincham FC First Team / Must be doubtful...
« on: November 29, 2016, 06:41:29 AM »
....For tonight. Frozen hard last night and temps not predicted to rise much above freezing all day -- if anything it's colder than Saturday, but without the fog.

Saves a cold night stood on the terraces I guess, I would expect an early decision to help the guys travelling from the North East.

Lots of heavy rain around, though it looks a little better in Derbyshire

Altrincham FC First Team / Well done lads!

That's a monkey off the back ....and I'm sure most people thought the worst when we conceded so early penalty again.

Some decent performances particularly in the 2nd half, I have to admit when that guy scored a worldly to equalise I thought we had blown our chance again. But, fair play to them..they continued to play their football and got their just rewards in the end, albeit after a mighty scramble in their box.

Great to see the team react to the support at the end, early days but let's hope we have turned the corner now.

Onwards and upwards Alty.

Altrincham FC First Team / Hattersley playing centre half ??
« on: September 10, 2016, 03:06:17 PM »
Well, that's a strange selection to say the least..but I'll wait until the end before any direct criticism !

Looks like he's playing 4-4-2 , with Hobson and Reeves up front with Lawrie and Lynch playing outside Moult and Goodhall.

Hopefully we'll get an update from the guys who have made the trip on the shape and formation. Need a win today, good luck boys!

Altrincham FC First Team / No Josh Ginnelly for the Burnley game...

...he has signed for Walsall on loan until January.

Shame, would gave been good to see him back here but it's probably a good move for him.

Altrincham FC First Team / Question for you

Anyone got any news on Stuart Coburn....did he officially retire or is he still battling the calf injury he had?

Just not heard anything, unless I missed it

As an aside to the game today - and I'm not sure if this being made public - but Josh Ginnelly suffered racist abuse in the second half before being subbed off. He was visibly upset, and I know this was reported to the Stewards by Ian, and goes some way to explain why he seemed on edge of his emotions and got booked for dissent.

On top of that horrendous decision at the end of the first half when he skinned the full back on the edge of the box before being brought down ...only to be pulled up for 'diving' by that crap referee...sums up a sad day for the lad. Incidentally, strange that the ref didn't book him for diving if that's what he thought, I understood it was an automatic yellow card??

May be some time before I go back to that cold, unwelcoming sh*thole.

Last thing posted on the website to my knowledge was that we were approaching Tranmere for an extension, I don't think I have seen confirmation either way?

LS is working on a final signing before our trip to Grimsby, and he seems hopeful to land him.

For me, another defender is badly needed.

Who's on the wish list?
