Title: Tottenham Hotspur 1 Altrincham 1
Post by: Brian Flynn on August 10, 2017, 05:45:25 PM
Tonight's Radio Robins test broadcast on Mixlr at 8pm will feature a montage of radio match reports from the FA Cup 3rd Round tie played at White Hart Lane in January 1979.

The broadcast will now be longer than previously advised at around 50 minutes.

Details regarding the test broadcast & how to listen are below:-

Radio Robins is trialling a new method of broadcasting called Mixlr. This service seems to be the industry standard in this field and, whilst benefits to the listener may not be immediately apparent, it provides more options and flexibility for the Radio Robins team on match days. It is hoped it will also enable the station to broadcast a wider range of content.

There will be 3 ways to listen to Radio Robins via Mixlr

a) The Radio Robins website www.radiorobins.com . Open the page in any web browser and the broadcast should start automatically
b) Download and install the Mixlr app on Android devices from the Google Play Store - start the app and search for 'Radio Robins'.
c) Download and install the Mixlr app on Apple devices from the Apple Store - start the app and search for 'Radio Robins'.

We will be doing a test broadcast at 8pm tonight.

Feedback during the broadcast can be given on the Radio Robins Chatroom at www.radiorobins.com & after the broadcast has finished, we would welcome your thoughts on your listening experience on the Fans Forum www.altyfans.co.uk

For the test broadcast, Paul Burton has put together a WIX website which we will use for testing without having to change the existing Radio Robins website:-

https://rr5977.wixsite.com/radiorobins

In simple terms, this website replaces www.radiorobins.com for broadcasting the test broadcast, although we would still like you to use the Chatroom on the Radio Robins website for feedback purposes.

Amazing days to be an Alty fan in the late 70s and early 80s. I think many of us thought it would never end.

All ended after Noel White was Chairman no more

I was at that Spurs game aswell, took till about 5am for the train to get back aswell, no school for me the next morning.

I remember walking to the ground from the station & my dad telling me to hide the scarf but that was 70's football fans for you
