See that Holsgrove and McReady have signed for us.
Check out AltyFC website, both good players, welcome to Alty, lads. Those that have not seen play I was impressed with both, particularly Kevin Holsgrove.
Cheers Graham/Ken and board.
-
Two great signings in my opinion, now for a centre half !
-
I wonder if Holsgrove will remind anyone of Danny Murphy, to whom many a lofted clearance was aimed when he was on the wing for Alty?
-
Was hoping to get Holsgrove signed so pleased, but agree the central defender hole is more pressing!
But welcome aboard Tom and Kevin!
-
Welcome on board, lads. Do us proud...
-
Kevin is a very adaptable player, who we can use as a leftwinger, forward or left side of midfield. He can put himself about a bit and is not easy to shrug off the ball. Particularly good with a ball over the defence when he is on the last man.
A player I wanted Graham to sign, possibly soon to be another of my favourites, he can also find space on the left by isolating himself in wide positions behind defenders facing the ball, good passer also and runs at defences without fear.
Good player to watch.
-
Welcome to Alty and good luck to both players!
-
Welcome aboard lads and enjoy your trip with Alty...
Im feeling happy tonight..
-
Pleased with these two..and both young lads as well.
Welcome aboard...
-
Are they on contracts? - under the tutilage of GH & Mac they will/should do well.
All the best to them both.
-
yeah welcome and good luck to both of you
-
great news, what you have to do now is play reasonably whilst not setting the world on fire, only to have some of the fans call you bloody rubbish only to improve game after game, finally after being signed by a bigger club the club will be slagged off for not putting you on a 5 year deal.
-
Good things being said about Mcreday here and it was only a year ago...

That Holsgrove looked really good last night. McCready has been decent too, getting on the scoresheet against Macc.
Welcome aboard lads!
-
Welcome Kevin & Tom to Alty. Both players look good and have given GH/KM more options and depth that the squad needed. Let's hope they develope at Alty, the fans will certainly be right behind you if you put in the efforts shown so far. 8) Centre half now and MC.

Great news :) . Welcome to Alty lads
-
Good signings the both of them.
Only reservation I have is can Holsgrove play elsewhere, surely we have enough left sided players?
Clee is a good player but has a slightly dodgy injury record. Two of our other left sided players are out with a gammy knee and the shingles respectively. I think he's a good signing.
I'm looking forward to seeing what McCready can do. Everton and Hibs both have well-respected youth systems, you don't get a gig there unless you have talent. I'm assuming he might know Shaun Densmore too so that should help him settle in?
-
clee a dodgy injury record? since when?
-
Since he could only last an hour of each of the last ten games of the season due to a groin injury.
-

With both Buzz and Ryan out for some time (shingles is a nasty ailment !), I can see Nicky Clee perhaps having a shot as left wing back, which will leave Holsgrove with the chance to show what he can do as an attacking left winger.

doubt Nicky would like that, maybe temporary but certainly not regurlarly. We definitely need a loan there. I wonder if Scott Moffatt would return? Is he still on United's books?

Didnt he play right back ?

Yes, I thought he did

Thought he could play on both flanks?

Why should Kevin replace Clee, there is room for both of them in the team, I suspect Clee and Holsgrove will play well with Clee on the left and Kevin at left mid or left forward, that would be great to see together with Dale up front!!!
With injuries suspensions and availbility of players through the team there will be plenty of opportunities for all the players to prove themselves.
All players will be kept on their toes and have to be at the top of their game, we have cover for virtually all positions, just the centre-back role needs filling now for me.
See what happens later this week.
I am really looking foward to this season now

Not always. Often it can be quite easy to treat and be very mild lasting just a few days,...it depends how quickly it is diagniosed. Let's hope Ryan is Ok soon.

I was pleased to see Ryan play last night,...he sneers in the face of Shingles! ;D
