Title: Curzon admission prices...
Post by: Alty Dave on December 11, 2010, 07:55:28 PM
..reduced to £3.50 and £1.50 for concessions for Teusday if you can be bothered after todays drivel. This is on there main website. Do Alty get a cut?

We do get a cut yes, we will have had to agree with that.

Apparently an FA inspector who went today said it would be criminal to charge £7 for such crap again.  So he forced the reduction..

See you Tuesday.

It should be free as they failed to issue tickets as per the rules.

It should be free as they failed to issue tickets as per the rules.

My understanding of the rules is that if a full half of football is played, then the club does not have an obligation to provide passes out for people who paid for the original abandoned game.

They have reduced the prices as a good will gesture for this reason.

Only Curzon played a full half of football, the Alty players (Clee aside) may as well been Pantomime dames for all the football they displayed.

Its after 75 minutes there no obligation but as you have only seen half a game i'm sure they have to offer a ticket for the next game maybe i'm wrong
i'm sure Phil or George will correct me. It was not a complaint.

Looking at this from another angle, whatever money does come  out of Tuesday is just an added bonus, as (I take it) we still receive Saturdays money as well

I suppose after Tuesday I will have seen one and half games so £7.00 + £3.50 is right when considering we get a 50% share after club travel expenses etc are deducted

I don't begrudge Curzon the £7 I paid on Saturday, they were friendly and welcoming and will undoubtedly put it to good use.

It wasn't their fault that what I paid to watch from our lot makes £3.50 look a bit steep tomorrow.

I couldnt go Saturday, and I will keep my £3.50 on Tuesday to buy my sandwich on Wednesday.

I suggest any alty fan that can get there does their level to do just that.Weve slagged them off for two days, rightly so aswell, but we are still in this tie,and still have a very much needed £5k to play for and a trophy.Show discontent by all means please lets not have people turning their backs when they need our support the most.If you can get there then do,we supporters need to support our team in its time of need, whatever our opinions are on certain aspects.

Against all logic, I shall be present at the Stadium of Darkness in Tameside on Tuesday evening.

Wes Baynes will be pleased to learn that my wife has taken the trouble to knit him an extra thick pair of mittens and a rather fetching balaclava, just in case it gets a bit nippy for him tomorrow.

On a related point (related to Curzon, not to salami sandwiches), what's the parking like at Curzon? I wasn't there on Saturday but aiming to go tonight and I notice their website states that all cars must use their car park. Is there no on-street parking nearby, or are they just trying to be nice to their neighbours by keeping football traffic away from residential roads?

There is two car parks..loads of room.

There is also room on roads near the ground...loads of choice.

I wouldnt leave a car unattended on that estate, car park is really big,but make sure you know about the diversion and how to get to the ground via it as you will be left stumped otherwise!
