Definitely a good night for us, 8 points clear of the relegation zone & all of Weymouth’s games in hand have now gone (and our GD over them is 9 goals better) so we are effectively 3 wins clear of a side who have won 5 games all season. Obviously though looking at our remaining home games (5 of the 8 are against sides in 13th place or lower) especially our aim has to be to finish top of the mini league up to 14th where Eastleigh currently are & ultimately improve on last seasons 17th place.
If the “change” involves getting rid of the management team I’d be strongly against that. Yes, we are now in a relegation battle and if we were to go down I think the least we could do is give Parky and Neil , who got us here (ahead of schedule remember) a chance to get us out of it. This is a brutal, unforgiving league, especially for teams with our resources. All the loan deals, chopping and changing of lineups necessitated by our situation makes it very hard to manage. Let’s hope we can somehow extricate ourselves from this. Cut out the defensive silliness and for Christ’s sake, can we put our penalties away?!!😕
At what point does this nonsense become untenable, do people think?
This wasn't just a defeat like Boston (A), this is 2 hammerings in a local Derby.
The silence tells me everything I need to know.
Senior would be a huge Loss.
Would we lose so many players being FT? Which we would be had we not given out 2 year contracts like sweets after the playoffs.
'The capacity will be a reduction from the previously defined maximum capacity of 7,873 as all parties have agreed that this was produced based on inaccurate / out-of-date assumptions.'
While I don't expect to find out how the original figure was signed off, I do hope that the Club has received an explanation that is rather more detailed than what has been published. It looks very much as though whoever came from TBC to do the original assessment, was not doing their job correctly; it's fair to assume that had they done so, we could have avoided the debacle of the last couple of games and the money lost that it has necessitated.
Play them at midnight on Christmas Eve for me. Turn up, knock them out of the competition and then have the discussion about when kick off should have been.
P.S could the club put on discounted coach travel for fans that don’t drive and would miss the last train home?
Notts County have a televised match on the Tuesday evening following so they won't have wanted to play on the Sunday.
Not sure why the get to dictate really, if Sunday works for us because they can't do 3pm, then we should crack on.
