Title: More Seaside Trips next Season...
Post by: Inter Alty! on April 27, 2021, 10:05:11 PM
So Grimsby are relegated from the EFL Div2 tonight... plus Southend are almost certain to join them (as they are 6pts from safety with 2 games to play)...

Hence, couple of extra seaside trips on the cards if away fans allowed... they may not be Blackpool, Whitby, or Scarborough but still a trip to the coast...

Cleethorpes is the Caribbean of the East coast. Easy to confuse the two.

Indeed.
Cleethorpes so much better than anything on the bland Irish Sea coastline west of Skipton / Buxton.

If only Scarborough and Whitby could make it to NL.

Yes, Cleethorpes is much better than some people think, and I will look forward to going there again. I haven't checked, but it feels like we have a decent record there, too.
With potential trips to the friendly at Brightlingsea and Southend in the league, we can get a couple more east coast visits.

Unless Swindon go bankrupt. There was a rumour on the Football League Show along those lines but I haven't heard anything since, so hopefully they'll get it sorted. (Incidentally, a disgrace what happened to the npl - again. I see they are completing Scottish leagues 1 and 2 (sort of) - surely a similar standard of football).

Well, after they ripped Forest Green a new one last night, we don't have to go to Barr-ow 😂

In Prittlewell. Any news on Swindon, or were they always going to be alright?

Didn't Grimsby Town fluff a certain vote once?
