Saying that I do have a hobby horse of us building games up and creating pressure and tension....Histon was discribed as a must win game, we got hammered 3-0...but we are still fighting.

Somehow the players have to maintain belief that if they continue to fight and play as well as they have done overall and maintain the points average we've achieved since ken took over we've got a great chance of staying up.

Yes, and it looks likely we'll come to regret that Histon debacle.

Kenny's current points average of 1.16 will take us to 44 pts incidentally, which won't keep us up in a month of Sundays never mind give us a fighting chance.

I do agree though that it's not helpful putting things as 'must win'. You basically need to get to 50 points and if you do should be ok regardless of whoever your wins and losses are against.

which is what Barrow want to do - so this becomes a massive game for both clubs. Biggest game of the season so far.

You may be correct Ballers, but tonight's extrapolation indicates that 43 points will be good enough to stay in the division.

History is more important than extrapolation. Since this league expanded to 24 teams only in the 2007/08 season would 43 points have kept you up.

A lot will also depend on which matches our points come in.

4 points off FGR will be much better than four points off Newport and Grimsby.

Statisically 53 points is what you need to almost definitely stay up. It is normally this time of the season when the stupid coupon busting results start to happen.

They really should be beating teams like us

Well yes but again only once in that time has reaching 50 points seen you relegated.

Then we'd better make sure the team that busts the coupons is US !

If only Sam Wedgbury was still available, he and Steve Connors ran the midfield against York and could have done so again tonight.
Shame the other Sam was so poor on Saturday, I suppose we will need Robbie alongside Connors tonight.
I don't think that 'a six pointer ' does tonights game justice, surely it's at least a twelve pointer!!

absolutely biggest game of the season so far, it is not necessarily winner takes all, but loser has a massive disadvantage in the run in. I have a feeling both teams are going to be too scared to lose, thus I can't see the game having a winner.
